About me
I am Chilton Nieh (Nickname). This website is my academic blog recording some tips in my researches. You can also find me in Researchgate and Mendeley.
My researches are related to the multiscale physical phenomena in the thin film growth and the fluid dynamics. Before 2019, my research is concerned about the dislocation evolutions in the thin films. Recently, I focus on the micro-/nano- droplet dynamics in the electrohydrodynamic jet (e-jet) printing. My researches are mainly based on the numerical simulations by molecular dynamics (MD), dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Therefore, I am familiar with some open-source softwares, including LAMMPS and Gerris. I am also good at programming in processing image or text, etc. Below is a self assessment of the programming level.
Programing language | Level | Purpose |
---|---|---|
Matlab | Proficient | Data processing, plotting |
Python | Skilled | Interface of open-source software (OVITO...) |
C++ | Familiar | Algorithm implementation |
LaTeX | Familiar | Typesetting in a few papers |
